These necklaces are created by braiding eight strands of linen on a frame called a mauridai. This braiding is known as kumihimo, and is of the Japanese tradition. Then seed beads are sewn individually over the cord in the peyote style of beading. Sterling silver findings finish the project and pendants with stones and sterling silver findings are attached,
